No Cost Ways To Increase Exercise Participation

One of the biggest reasons people do not exercise is because they think it costs too much.  Below are 10 ways to increase exercise participation without spending money:
  1. When going somewhere in the car always park the furthest distance away from the building to get extra walking in.
  2. Anytime you are watching tv do some pushups or situps during the commercials.
  3. When going upstairs at a place of business always take the stairs rather than the elevator.
  4. Challenge co-workers to see how many steps you can each take over a month's period of time.
  5. Get up 30 minutes earlier each day and go walk or jog.
  6. Take an exercise band everywhere you go to do exercises during idle time.
  7. Find a workout partner to help hold you accountable to workouts.
  8. Go to the mall just to walk - not shop.
  9. Walk your kids to and from school each day.
  10. When you are on the phone walk around the house.

There are many other ways to increase exercise so try just one and see what happens.
